Matt Hutton is a designer, maker and educator. Together, he and his wife, Erin Hutton, own and operate Studio 24b, a Portland, Maine based firm that produces design, furniture and art curating for public and private clients and the hospitality industry. Internationally trained, Hutton employs a sophisticated aesthetic within his work that combines refined craft, technique and concept to suit the needs of his diverse clientele. The work created at Studio 24b is custom and combines nearly two decades of experience with both innovative technologies as well as traditional methods of woodworking. Studio 24b has received numerous awards and accolades from institutions, including the American Craft Council and the Society of Arts & Crafts. Matt was also named an influential and outstanding young leader in the state of Maine by Maine Today Media.
In addition to his work at Studio 24b, Matt has been an instrumental leader in establishing a nationally recognized woodworking and furniture design program at the Maine College of Art in Portland, Maine, where he is currently Professor.
